Building the first 3D Printed Home in Southeast Asia

KA BINA, is the first 3D Construction Printer (3DCP) company in Malaysia and the company will be building the first 3D printed house in Southeast Asia on Malaysia’s land. KA BINA is also the sole distributor for this technology for Malaysia and Singapore.

KA Bina has established partnership and relationship with regulatory bodies- CIDB Malaysia, CIDB IBS, CIDB CREAM, Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia to further utilise and promote the technology for the country. This establishment is also done to produce the first policy blueprint for 3DCP in Malaysia.

The idea of the first 3D printed home in SEA, is to establish the idea of how efficient and safe a 3D printed home is. The home will include designs and criteria of affordable homes in Malaysia but with a twist of the flexibility in design using a 3D printer.

The design will focus on cost efficiency, durability, sustainability, minimising wastage and a flexible design to ease the process of printing houses.

In the near future, we won’t be building homes/structures anymore, we will be PRINTING them.

First 3D Construction Printer is finally here

Our printer is finally here and currently going through testing process. Will be ready to print first 3D printed home in South East Asia, here in Malaysia.

Our second 3D Construction Printer (3DCP) has arrived!

We are proud to announce that our second printer is finally here. In less than 6 months, we’ve been overwhelmed with enquiries on 3DCP from all sectors! This shows how efficient and future-proof this technology is.

Forget manual work, automation is the future!

For your information, our second printer will be placed at KA Bina’s training center for Research and Development (R&D). Soon we will be able to showcase to public the first ever 3DCP in Southeast Asia brought to you by KA Bina.

JKR’s visit to KA Bina’s on site printing marks the official start for another regulatory body to welcome 3DCP technology for Malaysia’s construction industry. The development of the technology could easily boost local high skilled talents and fresh graduates who are in pursue of a future-proof technology.

Through constant discussions and knowledge sharing with JKR’s impressive technical team, 3DCP is on its way to be utilised by majority industry players to achieve a more sustainable development environment. JKR will be kept in the loop and be part of the team in recognising 3DCP in Malaysia.

KA Bina, a push for high skilled local talents

KA Bina believes in enhancing local talents as we believe these individuals will be the future. We’ve been engaging with multiple universities all over Malaysia to promote the idea of joining the latest innovation in the construction industry.

Recently, Universiti Malaya (UM), the country’s number one university, has engaged Ka Bina to be one of the panellists during their Civil Convention (Civil Con ’22) organised by the faculty of engineering. Ka Bina were ecstatic to explore the concept of 3DCP and how it will shape the future of the construction industry globally.

Young talents are the future, and the young talents of UM now have a clearer picture of the next route in the construction industry via 3DCP.
